As an orthopedic surgeon and a sports medicine specialist, I strive to provide my patients with compassionate and high-quality care. I chose this field because it allows me to combine my interests in athletics, fitness, and nutrition with my expertise as a doctor.

My practice is dedicated to caring for adult and pediatric patients who have orthopedic conditions and a variety of sports injuries. I am experienced in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery, which often results in less scarring and faster recovery times.

Procedures I perform include anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction and meniscus, rotator cuff, and labral repairs. I treat a variety of knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle injuries and use the latest minimally invasive techniques to restore and preserve articular cartilage, which is the tissue that covers joints. In addition, I offer biologic treatments, such as platelet-rich plasma and stem cell therapies, to manage tendon injuries.

Over the years, I have spent a great deal of time treating professional, collegiate, and amateur athletes. I have served as the team orthopedist for professional teams, including the New York Islanders, the New York Dragons arena football team, and World TeamTennis. In addition, I have been the covering orthopedist for many sporting events, including the U.S. Open Tennis Championships; the Buick Open, a PGA tour golf tournament; and the annual Empire Challenge, the Long Island versus New York City all-star high school football game. I have also been the ringside doctor for several boxing and mixed martial arts matches.

For more than 10 years, I served as the team orthopedist for Hofstra University athletics. I cared for the athletes and provided coverage for National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I sporting events and athletic tournaments. These included men’s lacrosse and wrestling, including the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships at Madison Square Garden.

I have been recognized in Castle Connolly’s “Regional Top Doctors” and “Top Doctors” series for the New York metro area and ����ɲ��岹��’s “Top Doctors Long Island” for the past several years. Also, I remain interested in teaching. I have organized and directed a weekly sports medicine lecture series accredited by the American Medical Association and enjoy providing fellowship training for orthopedic surgeons specializing in sports medicine.

I feel it is important that my patients understand their condition, and I encourage them to take an active role in the treatment decision-making process. It is gratifying when my patients regain their function and return to the activities that they enjoy most because of the surgical and nonsurgical care I provide.
