Gregory B. Haber, MD: ASGE’s Rudolf Schindler Award Honoree
, chief of endoscopy at NYU Langone Health, has been named this year’s recipient of the Rudolf Schindler Award. Presented by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), the award is the organization’s highest honor and is granted to a member whose accomplishments in endoscopic research, teaching, and/or service to ASGE exemplify the standards and traditions of Rudolf Schindler, MD, founder of the American Gastroscopic Club, the forerunner of ASGE.
Aasma Shaukat, MD, MPH: ASGE’s Distinguished Endoscopic Research Mentoring Award
Aasma Shaukat, MD, MPH, director of outcomes research in the , and co-director of translational research education and careers at the at NYU Langone Health, has been named this year’s recipient of the Distinguished Endoscopic Research Mentoring Award. Presented by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), the award recognizes outstanding career achievement by endoscopic research mentors who have devoted substantial time and effort to develop and nurture the next generation of endoscopic investigators.
Ramesh Nimma, PhD: AHA’s Robert W. Hobson II MD Early Career Investigator Award
Ramesh Nimma, PhD, an associate research scientist at the at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, has been named this year’s recipient of the Robert W Hobson II MD Early Career Investigator Award. Presented by the American Heart Association, the award recognizes her research at the Ann Marie Schmid Lab, which has helped advance our understanding of diabetic vascular complications.
